Coming to Terms With Germs

Opinion, New York Times; November 16, 2004

To the Editor:

It was a pleasure and a relief to read an essay that urged calm rather than fear ("Germs, Germs Everywhere").

After enduring the scare tactics used in the election, I was finally able to crawl into bed with the feeling that everything wasn't that bad -- a welcome change.

I will happily accept the author's plea for calm and rationality and try not to worry.
